Gerald Veasley has been voted "Best Electric Bassist" by Jazziz Magazine and named in both Downbeat Magazine's Critics' and Readers' Polls. Fans and fellow musicians appreciate Gerald for his virtuosity and soulful approach to music making. He had long and fruitful associations with Grover Washington, Jr. and Joe Zawinul, not only touring and recording with these two masters, but also contributing songs to their repertoire.

Gerald has worked with important jazz artists such as Pat Martino, Special EFX, Pieces Of A Dream and the Jaco Pastorius Big Band. He has also formed all-star collaborations featuring leading contemporary jazz artists including Kirk Whalum, Najee, Rick Braun, Chuck Loeb, Kim Waters, Maysa and Bobby Lyle. Gerald's recording projects have featured John Legend, Dianne Reeves, Philip Bailey and Jaguar Wright.

Though Gerald is known as a contemporary jazz musician, the versatile bassist has never been content working in one genre. He has worked with R&B legend Gerald Levert, jazz diva Nnenna Freelon, the soulful Teddy Pendergrass, gospel icons The Dixie Hummingbirds, straight ahead piano giant McCoy Tyner and many other diverse artists.

His Bass Bootcamp, an annual retreat featuring instructional seminars and workshops, brings together bass players of all levels and from around the world to learn and be inspired by Gerald and his staff.

Gerald Veasley has used MusicCord-PRO since 2009. When asked why does he use MusicCord-PRO, Gerald responds "It allows me to get closer to the pure sound of my instrument.
